Orangey by blightygal

Orangey

Treated myself to some Tesco best gerbera's (cheap!) today as I love gerberas.. and decided to try and get a nice image from one.

Not sure it worked, but it was fun trying - celotaped one flower's stalk to a small box to give it some height, placed it on the window ledge with a peice of white paper underneath to catch the shadow..and waited for the sunshine to pop out between the clouds. All natural light, but I did have to use another peice of white card as a reflector to cast a little bit of extra light on the flower. I really like this 365 project, makes you play around :-)
wow i really love the simplicity and the color! love the shadow! =)

I agree, I love this project because it makes me get my camera out every day and think about what to shoot. I'm excited because I work days today so I'll have the evening to play around.
