Its absolutely glorious in the UK at the moment, but short lived, rain on its way..
Not the best of photo's but I absolutely loved this sunworshiper! She lived in a big block of flats in North London, but came down with her newspaper, and sat there doing the crossword in the sun.
I was quite far away, and she was sat in a dip, but I didnt want her to see me and ruin her peace. I adored the fact that she didnt care what she was wearing, it was just about max sun worshiping, I loved the shower cap! Most 'older' ladies normally moan about the weather, lol, so its so nice to see a lady thoroughly enjoy! Cute lady and I hope I am just like her at that age :-)
London in the heat is fab, it feels like a different city. People seem more happy, chilled out and less rushing.. coffee shops and parks are jammed with folk, and there seems to be less cars. Nice!
Update on SQ - absolutely fine. She woke up at 8.30am for grub (apparently eating very well) and survived the neighbours having a party last night, complete with fireworks! Such is city life. She has also been hanging around with another baby squirrel, although that one is slightly bigger. They are both eating the food my partner leaves.
heheh! Who said you could take my picture! lol Great shot and you're right, everyone much more chilled and making the most of the fickle English weather!
Well, this is classic! Isn't it delightful that her face has such wonderful character, and she could be a book illustration she's so darned cute! She'd probably not have loved having her picture taken, but I'm so glad you did.
Love the candid - well spotted. Also thanks for the update on the squirrel it sounds like shie is doing her own thing now and well on the road to independence
Oh my goodness, I saw this photo and had to look at it over and over again, that woman is the spitting image of my deceased mother - I just can't believe it . . . she left 8 sisters behind in Ireland and England . . could this be one of them? how in the universe could that be? wow!
What an adorable candid shot!!! This old lady is so cute, with her shower cap and glasses!!! So happy to hear that you got the heatwave, too! London can definitely use a little sunshine! :-)
Fridea - ty for the msg - my ma's maiden name was Ridgeway - born in Dublin - she had 13 bro's and sisters - if that isn't a relative then I would be amazed!!!
ty so very much Frieda - that would be wild! and to think you and a pic made it all happen - yes, I am in the USA - I have never been to Europe, although I have all sorts of family there and would LOVE to see where my grandma, mom, dad , aunties and uncles all grew up and live
SQ has a friend - great news! ;-))
