Remember me? by blightygal

Remember me?

This is the bengal cat that knocked on our door in Leeds, last halloween. Made us jump actually as we were watching a spooky film.

Turns out the lady in Milton Keynes doesnt want Leo again, as he beats up her other cats. I think its because she doesnt let it out. So he's now moved in with me.

Apart from the very loud meowing because he's not allowed out for 2 weeks (got to do it, so he knows where his new home is), its been fab having him around. You can do anything with this cat, he doesnt mind being picked up, cuddled, loves his belly rubbed and even fell asleep in my arms today. Gorgeous! I cant wait til he can go out tho, make him a bit more happy and cat-like. Off to the vet tomorrow for his jabs, glands (uh-oh) and general mot.

Oh, and been nicknamed Fleo.
What a great looking cat....

He's gorgeous Freida - you can't beat having a cat around (apart from when they wander off, frighten you to death and then wander back!) A really stunning beast - are Bengals the great big ones?

OMG - I just went back to your other stunning photo of him and I asked you then if he was big - I'm obviously massively predictable! Mind you you didn't answer - is he??!! ;0)

@judithg Hiya! Apologies for my rudeness over not answering before, thought i'd better do that this time! No, not especially big, tho a fair size cat, long and lean. Very vocal tho, weirdest cat noises I have ever heard, have a google, its driving me nuts as it wants to go out! He's a cross between an Asian leopard cat & kitty apparently, I'd never heard of em until met him in Leeds!

@blightygal I think it may have been Maine Coons that my dog-walking friend has - I can't ask her as her dog has become aggressive so she just waves from a distance! I've Googled Bengals and there are some gorgeous examples around - though obviously yours is the most beautiful! Amazing that you managed to get him - he must have been telling you something. This week I listened to one of those bizarre little programmes that Radio 4 produces every so often - a little gem about lost and found cats in Portsmouth - I don't know if the link will work - it's on iPlayer still - 'Lives in a Landscape - Gone Astray'. Great to bake or iron to! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01n1qxw
I've tried listening to a Bengal talking to its kittens but Monty barked manically all the way through it - I'll try again with headphones when I can find a pair!!

@judithg Thanks very much! I've just done my ironing, ha, but will listen tomorrow when Ed's out. Ed he's watching the x-factor at the mo, please help me!

I'd heard of maine coons, but just had a google to see what they look like, wow, they're huge! Almost dog like, lol. And your Monty, ha ha! I love doggies, they're so much fun! Dont tell our new cat tho, but dogs rule :-)
