Leo's previous owner came to visit him today, bringing with her his box of old toys from when he was a kitten. He played with toys, jumping around, happy as Larry, something I have never been able to get him to do. I try nearly every day with a variety of toys which previous owner recommended, just to have him play for a min or two at most.
As soon as she left, we got the toys, and he went back to zero interest. Flipping cats, they are hard work. No matter how nice Leo is, cute & nice to have him around, I always have, and always will, prefer dogs. Think will go tell him that, fickle creature.
Yes well I read that quite again / the one about if you feed & house a dog it thinks you're a god but if you feed and house a cat it comes to the conclusion that it must be a god. Too old for toys - but I'm sure he will be happy to sit on your newspaper/book/desk at an inconvenient moment and or leap on delicate electrical cables when you least expect it. Cool pic!
Lovely silhouette of him through the window.
I'm curious to know how Leo reacted to seeing his previous servant (owner)?
@judithg
LOL, love the quote about dogs/cats/gods. I've never heard that one before, but it is SO true.
Cats are my first love. Yes, they are fickle and aloof, but nothing beats that purring pile of fluff sitting in my lap at the end of the day. I do love dogs too, but cats are much less work and require less attention.
@pasadenarose@judithg Its a great phase huh? I haven't heard it in a while and very true :-)
@pasadenarose I grew up with doggies, and yes, they need walking but I actually liked that part - I had to take them out rain or shine, good to get out :-) But I agree, I love to hear Leo purr, and I love to see the question mark on his tail, meaning he's happy :-)
yep, no matter how cute The Cat is, she is aloof and demanding on her terms ..The Hound however, they love ya!
