listening to coyotes (video)

Went for a hike this evening at South Mountain Park (Phoenix, AZ) and though I couldn't see the coyotes I could hear them singing. They do this at dusk and is one of the main reasons why I love this trail. I find it fascinating that they alternate from barking like dogs to howling at god knows what.

Nice visual. I mean audio. I use to hear the coyotes and especially their pups at night around my home many years ago until development pushed them out. Not that they stay completely gone.
