A lovely surprise today - our Christmas present from L and P was delivered today. The most amazing cheese hamper full of farm made cheeses, chutney and quince paste. They've also given us a cheese book and a plate in my new favourite Marimekko design with foxes.
Woke up in a state of almost abject panic this morning - didn't even have time to consciously think about anything specific to worry about. Had planned to try and find more plumbers etc but got a message from the guy yesterday to say he had called the tenants and would be sending through a quote today.
Got up and ready as our boiler service was due at 9. All good. Dave went off shopping and I hung around as we were expecting a couple of packages - L and P's came quite early but was still waiting for Dave's new headphones well into the lunch period - and Dave, contrary to agreement, wasn't back till 2.
I was a touch cross as I needed to get out for my fitness walk. Have decided to give Zumba etc a break for a couple of weeks while omicron continues to rage. Lovely sunny but very cold - funny after all that mildness - and the park was pretty if muddy. Popped into the William Morris Gallery and picked up some nice handwash and cream for mum's birthday.
Back, only had 10 mins to get settled in for my next Waltham Forest Talking Therapies session over Zoom. Going over my worry diary ha ha. Next homework is to carry on with the worry diary but use it in tandem with allocated 'worry time'.
Had a yummy cheese tasting session after along with the brownie C had bought us yesterday. As it's Twelfth Night, I spent an afternoon enjoying the Christmas tree for the last time, watched another 80s classic (theme of the holiday film season) with Tom Hanks - Turner and Hooch.
Something light for supper probs after the cheese and brownies and catching up with Doctor Who.
It’s a sad night when you know the tree has to come down tomorrow! Love your plate, just the perfect design for you. I searched your farmhouse cheeses but sadly none of our local ones.
