Well I Did It by brillomick

Well I Did It

I have cut down the Blue Spruce in the Backyard! It had grown too big to fit in between the Shed and Deck. I tried cutting the lower branches last year but still an Issue! It will truly be missed. Guess I will get an Arborvitae to put in its place(tall and slender). You can also see another project to finish when the Weather warms, Staining the fence( which is the neighbors) Guess they were just worried about their side lol. I ran out of warm weather last year! If you follow me you have seen the Spruce many times!

How sad you had to cut it down!! I have a tree at the end of our driveway that I just love, don't know what kind it is and no one else seems to either. My husband treatened to cut it down and I threatened him back! LOL My brother-in-law ran it over once, but it came back. It got so tall it was in the electric lines, so the power company came out and hacked the heck out of it so the lines were free, but I told them where they could cut or I'd shut their truck off and they would have to stay up there in their bucket!! As you can tell, I love trees!!! LOL LOL It is still there and as long as I am, it will be too!!
When I first looked at this photo I thought you were finally throwing out your Christmas Tree!! LOL LOL LOL!!!

@cashew Indeed I am the same, almost shed a tear! But I am excited to be able to plant a new one there!

Sometimes you have to let go of the old to get to the new.

That was a beauty - quite a job to get it down I imagine. It's a shame they can't just hit a stopping place!

What a shame.

It is such a pity to have to cut it down. Very tiring work, I'm sure.

Oh, poor old tree Mickey, go and stick that bit back on the top of the stump.

So sorry for the tree but sometimes it`s necessary. You better could have done it in December and sell the branches on a Christmas market
