Albert Memorial in Hyde Park

I had a wonderful day in London yesterday and went to the 'proms' in the evening. This opulent gilded memorial to Prince Albert sits opposite the Royal Albert Hall and was commissioned by Queen Victoria after the death of her husband in 1861.
