Courgette flower

Apparently in Italy they grow these to eat the flowers, not the courgettes! I've been going to the allotment early recently before it gets too hot. The sun was shining on these showy flowers but not long after they had closed up - a;most as if it was too hot!
How beautiful. Looks like a big yellow star or starfish. Brilliant color. You guys are really having a run of hot weather...hope you get a little relief soon. I really like the texture of this flower!
