Riga Castle

We have returned to Riga for one night, on route to Tallinn, by train. Today we took a canal/river trip, which gave us a good view of the castle from the boat. The castle was founded in 1330 and rebuilt between 1497 and 1515. Today, the Castle is used as the Presidential Palace..

Nice shot of this wonderful spot. If you like an after dinner liqueur you might like to try the Tallin liqueur whilst you are in Tallin. We were introduced to it there - it's delicious... :)
