Oh NO!! by byrdlip

Oh NO!!

Well, my wife will find me in front of my computer on rainy days as I rebuild my weather station programs (originals in Delphi). The first PWS lasted from 2004 until Feb 2016, the outdoor sensor quit, long after the anemometer and rain gauge(#2) died. Now, there is a new outdoor station to play with and located in a better place than [above] the heat pump.
Impressive. My husband's undergrad was in meteorology and I rely on him giving me solid weather info, all the time.

@joysabin FIL's brother (both of whom were ag teachers) for decades, would go out and record the temperature and other data the old fashion weather stations would give, think mercury thermometer in a louvered box.

The most interesting data was the average rain fall. Seattle with its 36 in and me with 51 inches. Only to discover a UW observation at WAUNA that was 52 inches. Draw a line between Shelton and Tacoma/Fife and that is part of the storm track coming in from the coast.

I ramble.
