December 2022 has turned out to be a quit interesting month. With all the doctor visits, batteries going dead, ice storms, rain, trips to the hospital and the oven controller giving up the ghost, we made it to Christmas with family and friends.
Did you know that with a little ingenuity, a Christmas meal can be planned and executed? We had made the decision to have ham for Christmas, good decision. We had planned to use the oven, nope, thermal breakdown on the electronics, with the earliest delivery for either a new range, or replacement the board, to be well after Christmas you definitely have to find a Plan B.
With the cooker pictured above, you can cook your ham, toaster oven for rolls, cookies and a few other items, stove top still works so corn, yams, Brussels sprouts can all be prepared. The microwave comes in handy also.
No pumpkin pies, we tried a no-bake but went overboard on either the nutmeg or clove. So a chocolate over a sudo-cheesecake filling.
Stay safe, stay warm and stay indoors if the winter storm is till upon you.
