This marks a milepost along my journey in the 365 Project. And what a wonderful journey it has been... so far! I never dreamed the places I would go when I first signed up... I've traveled to England, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Greece, Italy, throughout the United States... so many extraordinary places thanks to all your fabulous photographs and posts! I have learned to see the world in a fresh new way! (This country girl has learned that even NYC has a certain charm, thanks to Michael Elliot!) I feel as if I have friends the world over because of this 365 community. It is my hope that I have contributed to your journey, by viewing, commenting and faving your magnificent photos. I am ecstatic when I see your photos on the Popular Page and in the Top 20! And thanks to each of you for the time you have devoted to looking at this novice's photos, for your kind words and encouragement, and for even liking some of my photos enough to fav. I've learned so much from each of you... thanks for letting me tag along! And extra special thanks to Ross Scrivener... you're the best! Your vision for this site has certainly added a whole new wonderful dimension to my life!
A video of some of my photos was in the works, but didn't make it for today.
I'd like to journey a bit further, but maybe at a little slower pace. I have plans to upgrade from my point and shoot camera and plans to learn a more in-depth processing program. But my housekeeping has greatly suffered during this journey and my house and yard are in need of a lot of attention... I don't want my husband to divorce me over the 365 Project! :) So I'll see you along the way!
Oh, Cathy, congratulations for achieving your goal. I perfectly understand what you are saying of the time we consume in the project, and all those projects we set aside, but please don't disappear because I have deeply enjoy your pictures, your warmth, and your wonderful messages. You are a very special woman, that I feel fortunate to have met here. This is an excellent photo. FAV.
I feel like we've been through this special journey together. It feels great to actually finish it but then it's sort of bittersweet knowing that it's come to an end! Cathy, I can honestly say that your pictures have been at the top of my list here on 365. You can take an ordinary object, such as a grate, and turn it into some extraordinary. You have an uncanny ability to capture things in their best light -- to turn them into something beautiful. You have a gift. I look forward to seeing more pictures and we'll have to share beginner's trials and tributlations in learning how to shoot with an SLR. I love this picture. No need to stress over a video when one simple picture can say it all. FAV!

@cindymc Cindy, you are the dearest friend! I, too, feel like we have shared this journey... one I hope we will continue! Many of my favorites are yours! I love the subjects you choose... they are near and dear to my heart! And you had a Top 20 your first year! Woo-hoo! So you can see, I was only one of your many fans! I have several goals for the coming year, one a new camera, another getting my house in order, and a third, is tagging along with my husband when he is traveling your way so I can meet you in person! Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement you have offered me every step of the way... it means more than you know!

Congratulations Cathy, I'm sure we'll see you back once you've tired of that housework :-) I had a rest after completing mine, then I started putting up the odd picture again but now I'm completely addicted and back full time. such a great hobby, time consuming but full of wonder and great friends
Congratulations on completing a whole year of 365! It's quite an achievement isn't it? If you ever think that you wanna drive to Bristol one night a month, I know a small little camera club that would love to have a new member. I've loved seeing your perspective on our little part of the country and hate that I've been absent for a lot of it. I hope that you are still able to post from the to time cause I'll really miss seeing your shots if ya don't! Take care and God bless you in all that you do...

@juliehill I can assure you it won't take me long to tire of housework! But I've postponed so long, it will take a long while to catch up! When I get my new camera, I am sure I will be inspired to dive deep back into the project... so I guess I better postpone that new camera until some things get done around the house!

@girlincamo Terri, it has been so neat to 'find' another 365er from my area! Making plans to visit your exhibit soon! The camera club sounds like loads of fun, but I have got to get caught up here at home before committing to something else! But I plan to check in pretty often... don't want to miss anything!
@kathyladley I'm so glad you joined 365! It is really refreshing to see someone else's perspective of the area where we live... you don't have to go very far for a photo op with all your four legged friends! Let me know when the lambing begins... hopefully I will have a better camera in hand!

@kbalychev Thanks, Kimberly... there were times when I wasn't sure I would finish, and it did take me a couple of extra weeks, but 365 finally rolled around!
@michaelelliott Thank you, MIchael. Following you has been a delight! I have been to NYC four or five times many years ago ... Zero Mostel was starring in Fiddler on the Roof (and he died in 1977, so that gives you an idea of how old I am!) and Mamma Leone's was the place we liked to eat! You've opened my eyes to the city and to your unique style... I wish you great success with your photography! And I will be looking in on your project often! Thanks for all your kindness this year!
Thanks, Jeff. This is a very simple shot, but I'm just a simple girl, so I guess it is me. I had hoped to do a brief video, but a disc space issue on my computer put a temporary halt to that. A book is a nice idea! Any suggestions on a printer? I have enjoyed following your 365 journey!
@taffy How kind, Taffy! Just looked through your project and you are off to a great start! I found 365ers to be a great community of people! (Also had some times of zero inspiration, but it passed! Don't get discouraged!) Hope your 365 journey is as rewarding as mine has been!

Congratulations My Friend!!! You did it!! You are amazing with your point and shoot i cant even imagine what you will do if you step up to a DSLR!! I am so Proud of you !! What an Accomplishment !! Haven't posted any photos for a couple of days and my sweet husband treated me to a dinner at one of our favorite restaurants... I think he hopes I am celebrating the end of my journey... lol... but I think he knows deep in his heart I am addicted! Love to meet you too!
