Gnarly by cdcook48

Gnarly

Took this while walking my dog this morning. Because of the disruption to supply lines caused by all the flooding there are gasoline shortages now and gas is being rationed. I’ll be staying close to home for the next couple of weeks to conserve fuel.
Amazing close up with wonderful textures and colours. I love the way you processed this, it almost seems to be alive.

So gnarled. Are you doing okay? Floods like that take a while to go down and clean up after.

Sorry about your gas shortages, but glad you still have beautiful subjects like this nearby. Love the texture and the way it is lit.

@casablanca my wife and I are fine, thanks Cas. Although our house was was surrounded by water none actually entered the house and it has all drained away now. Others areas are still greatly impacted, roads and rail lines have been washed out and because of damage to one of the pipelines, gasoline is being rationed. But life goes on. All will be well in the end.
