@gardencat@shutterbug49@Dawn@corinnec Britannia Shipyards is preparing for the Marine Festival this weekend and these have been set up to represent the style of housing in Steveston back before dykes were built to keep the river at bay during high tide. Many homes and businesses were built on stilts or pilings and sidewalks were raised boardwalks.
