Today was yet another of a series of busy days and late nights as we prepare the motorhome for travel to the South Island. We're looking forward to a long break from work following our house sale.
We were aware of news of the new coronavirus impacting the world, but we had pushed it to the back of our minds due to our own personal situation. We knew that some panic buying had been taking place, but it was brought closer to home tonight when we headed into the supermarket for some supplies and saw empty shelves. Signs advised customers that there were limits on the number of things they could purchase, and telling us to 'Be kind, only buy what you need'.
As we returned to our parking spot, I saw the lights of the shopping centre reflected in the side of our motorhome. There's my photo for the day.
Finally we headed out of town for about an hour before stopping for the night.
