Always more stairs

Our native Kauri trees have a disease called Kauri dieback which can be spread by trampers boots. As a result lots of well used tracks are getting a work over so people don't stand on the roots of these trees. It means steps are put in place over the top. Somehow steps are always more difficult than a slope!

Yes, steps are not the easiest - depending on whether they suit your leg length or not. Nice image though.
