This was taken at a winery called Chateau Morrisette, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. When I went with my family there were two guitarists playing outside, while I sipped wine and had a delicious croissant. The weather was just perfect with gentle breezes blowing....can you tell I'm revisiting the place in my mind?
I am soooooooo jealous! We haven 't made it to Chateau Morrisette for several months... it is on the summer agenda! Seems it is always cooler there! We love the Sunday brunch and will probably try to work that in! Which wine is your favorite? We like Our Dog Blue and the Chambourcin. But we discovered a refreshing drink at brunch last visit that was the Sweet Mountain Laurel and whiskey sour mix and some fresh fruit... try it if you haven't! By the way, spectacular view of the Blue Ridge!
Who could blame you for re-visiting this gorgeous place, Cindy! The view seems to go on forever. I love your comp and the colors are lovely. Would love to sit there and enjoy the music. How relaxing!
@calm - My sisters go threre quite often and, since they found out that they have the Sunday event through the summer, they'll probably make a point to visit more often. To be quite honest, I can't recall the name of the wine that I tried. They're all good though, right? I think it's the atmosphere that I love there more than anything. What a perfect place to relax for a few hours! Hope you get to go back soon!
