Strangers in the night

Well, not really! I joined a new photography group and went for a night shoot. Confession: This is the first time I've shot in manual mode and the first time I've shot at night. There, I said it. I'm really excited about joining this group and hope to learn a lot. Well, let's put it this way....I learned more in a few hours last night than I've learned in two years.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. They mean a lot.
Wow! How exciting for you. I know how scary shooting in manual can be. I started doing it last summer. It was a steep learning curve. Good luck!

Yes, really exciting for you. That's a big first in both counts. Great composition and capture.

Nice shot. I've shot in manual before but I can never figure out the shutter speed and aperture to balance if I need it to. This man looks like he's giving you that "come hither" look!

You've captured his face well, despite his dark skin.

Instant fav, Cindy. Fabulous night street scene. You couldn't have done any better. How nice to join this group, but your photos (manual or not) have always been an inspiration to me.

Great night scene - made so much more interesting with the fellow in the foreground. He looks slightly bemused!
