The wind-blasted tree

I was amazed at how resilient this old tree was. How did it live for so long in such a wind-blasted and hostile environment?

Wonderful tree and a great find. I do find the image a little flat and could do with boosting the contrast a tad. Easy to do in post production with most software.

@marshwader Thanks for your comment, and yes I do agree - I tinkered with it a bit in post but couldn’t get it exactly the way I wanted. Maybe I need some more sophisticated software 😊
