This is not a bad attempt. I think you could try and play with dof so the sculpture is in focus but the background blurs. I'd put it on aperture priority and use a low number (to open the aperture wide). This will make the photo focus on the sculpture instead of your eye being drawn to the background. It might also work well in black & white. :)
Hi @Mei Photography, I would love to be able to play about with the aperture but I only have a point and shoot and this isn't available on it :( I could maybe take the photo from different points (like you suggested on fiddler photo). Will give that a go. Once again thanks for the sound advice.
@countrylassie Ah sorry! I completely forgot you have a point and shoot. That's my bad. You might be able to do some blurring of the background in editing. That might be an alternative?
