Another photo finish at the Annual Esk River Stone Boat Race!
Or Lealholm stepping stones😊. The title was supplied by Mick as he said the steps look like a load of stone boats in a race!
It was windy and icy cold so I didn't linger! just another grey day hope someone out there is getting the sunshine.

Thanks Rob, so am I but the river was very fast flowing and judging by the walk down to the steps which is boggy in places, it must have been a lot higher at some point!

I like the way the stepping stones and the path take your eye through the shot, makes me wonder what's around the corner of the wal.
I have been across Hazel but I wouldn't attempt it in this weather with wet steps!
