@claireuk this is STRIKES garden centre at Stokesley, it's right on the rounderbout as you go into the town from the Middlesbrough end, you can't miss it. It has some nice things and is very colourful and has a tea room too called The Topiary! Maybe worth the visit if you like a good mooch!:)
@claireuk it's my home town where I grew up and Strikes was our family business, my dad sold it to William Strike in the seventies, the house in the grounds as you go in was my home!! I can't say I have been into Bexters, where is it?
@craftymeg Oh now you are asking, absolutely no sense of direction! We went into see the Lottie and Jack vintage fair to see if was anygood for me; so we came out of that hall and the Thai restaurant near there is on our left as we are facing away; we walked back to the carpark near the co-op? There was a cafe called Howards and we walked past and into collage square? Thank heavens for Google and Trip Advisor! Thru this car park and there was this little cafe (it is actually no1 on Trip Advisor) we were met with such a warm welcome and lovely food, can highly recommend it:0)
@claireuk I know where it is, didn't know the name but was going to give it a try. Howard's is nice too but rather crowded and popular. Thanks for the info, do you live in this area then?
@craftymeg Fairly near to Barnard Castle and have friends near Stokesley, I know you have said you're near Redcar or was it Saltburn? We have chatted before about being local ish; I keep meaning to take Grad-daughter Annabelle on the Train to Saltburn
@claireuk I live 10 min ride from Stokesley and 10 min from Redcar and Saltburn a place called Guisborough another old market town like Stokesley, have you ever been? I have only been once or twice to Barnard Castle.
