150 years of ALICE!

The Saltburn Yarn Bombers have struck again!! Lol. This year the theme is 150 years since Alice in Wonderland came out in print. The rail on Saltburn pier is festooned with characters from the book, so colourful and very well made. I couldn't choose one I liked best so have collaged the ones that I think everyone will recognise:))
Best on black
Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs, putting yesterday's photo "fledge" on both the trending and popular pages.
What a fantastic tradition. Terrific individual shots & collage....FAV

These are so fabulous; you should try to get over to the Croft on Tees gala day, it is very much themed on Lewis Carrol as he grew up in the village where his father was the rector. :0)

Congratulations to the Saltburn Yarn Bombers - they have done a wonderful job! And congratulations to you Margaret for making a great collage of their work :) It's a marvelous tribute to a fantastic book. And what even impresses me more is the fact that it is out in the public for everyone to enjoy and it hasn't been vandalised :) So after all that - a BIG fav :)

Fab collage, I haven't managed to get down to see them yet this time despite only living 2 miles away! I'm sure I wont do as good a job at capturing them as this when I do

Wonderfully knitted characters A Fav

@gilbertwood it's lovely to be able to walk down the pier and touch all these characters, the children love them squeezing and feeling but no damage is done, they will stay on the pier until they start to look bedraggled3 and then they are cleared away. Sad to say last year some of the display was mindlessly vandalised and ruined for those who visited to see them. Thankfully it didn't put them off and we got the wonderful display this year.:)) thank you for your comment and fav.

@dawnbez if you do get chance try to see them before the elements ruin them, they are well worth a visit plus a fish and chip supper down on the front?!! I'm guessing you work at the large animal vets??
