A trip to the Lake District today ended up very grey, with drizzle and low clouds. I never got the photos I wanted which was a disappointment but kind hubbie has suggested another trip next week to see if I have better luck. But have to say the place is beautiful whatever the weather, the gold and russets are going to be worth another visit.

With a bit of luck I may get back to the Lake District this next week, the days are shorter and light not as good but still worth the 120 mile round journey!
@craftymeg This is a gorgeous capture. It's got everything The Lakes have to offer. Fab dry stone walls, fantastic fell scenery, trees galore, bracken, hills, whitewashed cottages & wonderful colours. Who cares about the water itself!? Wonderful. Fav
It must be amazing to live in that house - fancy waking up to a view like this every day!
Lovely photo - I like the way the line up through the hills seems to take over from that of the drystone wall
