A very quick visit to the lakes today, this is one of 4 shots that I got before we turned for home.
As we came down by Ullswater, it went from sunshine to grey, misty and rain, we stopped I took the four shots, I missed my footing fell flat on my face, have an egg on my forehead, my camera went flying( it is undamaged thank goodness) and bits of me I hadn't realised I hurt are now telling me I did.
The weather grew a lot worse, a text came in from my daughter, asking were we handy as she might need a lift for a family emergency, that was it we turned back, I don't think we have ever made the 150 mile round journey as quick! And to be honest if I had only got a shot of the rain I would have posted it, it was just not my day:-((
Better on black
Thank you for all your favs and comments all are much appreciated.
Excellent capture of the beautiful lake and surrounding trees. Love the foreground V framing. FAV. So sorry to hear of your fall but that you are doing OK.
Sorry to hear of your stumble. I have found I don't walk in the woods as well as I used to. This image is fabulous. The misty gray lake makes a great backdrop for the lovely autumn leaves.
What a gorgeous scene - especially on black. Those tones are beautiful. Awfully sorry to hear about your fall - when it's unexpected, your body really screams at you when you do that. Hope you're feeling better quickly.
