Osmotherley way by craftymeg

Osmotherley way

The beautiful moorland over near Osmotherley this afternoon, so many different shades of green. Amongst the heather which doesn't flower till august is bracken, wild thyme, thistles, cotton grass to name but a few. In case anyone wonders, the green to left of the picture is the heather starting to get green, the blue-green on the right is bracken and in the foreground are a mixture of some of the grasses that you get on the moorland and to the left of the foreground is a patch of thistles.
Nice on black of course!

Truly an impressive capture of the greens -- they are so hard to photograph, I think.
