Cottage border

Just a very colourful cottage garden border. One from the other week it's dismal here again today, just intermittent sunshine and very heavy showers all day and temps of about 17c.

I love this. One summer I wanted a garden full of flowers like this. It didn't happen. Too much work and it's too darn hot without enough rain here.

Once I was visiting my son in Newcastle-under-Lyme and a lady shopkeeper asked me what I think about Britain and I replied that I don't like the weather. Her reply was "that's why we have all the lush greenery." And that is exactly what I think when I see shots like this. You can't have everything in life, unfortunately.
