From the road to Baysdale

A spot on the moor that trees are planted I think in memory of loved ones. I love the way they grow because of the harsh weather, it’s really is a wonder they grow at all there are no other trees growing in this area. To the right on top of the hill in the distance is Captain Cooks Monument.
Better on black

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.

Amazing that they grow! I have a relative who grew up in Barrow. Absolutely no trees there at all except one planted by Alan Titchmarsh on a Ground Force programme!! Not sure if it has survived!

They must have been allowed to plant them - it would be public land? A wild place but one for remembering!
