Rust

Taken a couple of days ago on a dreary grey day, this is what the moorland looks like most of the year! It only comes to life when the heather blooms. This is a mix of bracken and heather with just the odd tree to punctuate the barrenness.

If it wasn't for the trees, I would have thought that you'd hit this photo with a colored filter. It reminds me a lot of the red clay patches that we have around here.
