This is just one of the many narrow roads that run through our north eastern countryside. In many places there is not enough room for two cars to pass so it’s usually left to politeness if a car is seen coming in the opposite direction to find a place to pull in and let the car pass. It usually works quite well if you can find a space!! Towards Danby Moor, heather in the distance.

I had forgotten just how narrow some roads were in the UK. I remember when my daughter was young, we were driving along a narrow road one day and she commented 'wow this is a thin road Mum'
There is so much to see in this photo. Initially, of course, the car captured my attention and drew my eyes to the scene beyond. But then I started looking at the gate and the stone walls (fore- and mid ground).
