when I sat down at my compiuter today I glanced to my left and this little creature was near my elbow! He kindly stayed there whilst I went and got my camera and took a few shots then I told him he must leave so I got my husband to throw a towel over him and remove him to a bushy part of the garden. Now I am finding his calling cards all through my craft room.
PS after looking at this picture I wondered why mice and rats have such long tails so I googled it. Evidently they help them to balance and to regulate their body temperature. So there you are
Don't mind them in the garden, but they would be out of my house quicker than you could say Jack Flash.
They have long tails so that you can grab hold of them quickly and hurl them out into the bushland.
OMG I'm laughing at both your story and all the comments! Even I would have been so startled I likely would have scared him before I got my camera! But, like you, you'd better believe I'd have wanted a picture, too! Bab's comment is hysterical, but poor little guys, they do get a bad rap! My daughter, when young, had a couple as pets over time, so I'm not put off by them, but they do need a cage to avoid calling cards!

thanks all for your funny comments about my little $20 mouse.that needs no batteries!
