the human statue

depicting Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868 - 1928) famous Scottish architect, designer and artist.
It always amazes me how these street artists can stand motionless for so long although this one bowed to me when I gave him some money and I did see him playfully poke his stick at an unsuspecting passer by. Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

It's amazing how much they look like a real statuette. I came across one in Germany 2010 who held out his hand when I put some money in the box, lifted my hand and gave it a kiss. I still have that picture in my vacation file.
