EASTER BILBY

The Bilby is an endangered Australian marsupial. It is our alternative to the Easter Bunny. To raise money and increase awareness of the need for conservation efforts chocolate Bilbies and other merchandise are sold as an alternative to chocolate rabbits.
I took this photo at the Adelaide Zoo nocturnal house. It was sleeping under an infrared lamp so I changed the colour to sepia. They are grey with white tips on their tails and live in burrows in the desert. They are about 30-50cm in length
