THE GATEHOUSE, Urrbrae House, Adelaide.

This bluestone gatehouse dates from the 1890's and is part of a large property donated to Adelaide University for use in agricultural research in 1922. There is a large house and gardens, a 30 hectare arboretum containing 2,300 specimens and 121 hectares of natural bushland

@golder365mjsmith thanks so much Michael. Actually I was very lucky that the car was stopped at traffic lights and no cars were coming the other way so I had a clear view. Pays to have your camera handy at all times.

@lilminimonka it does doesnt it but amazingly its now sits at the corner of a busy intersection and as luck would have it there were no cars coming in front of it at that moment

Love the architecture, the details of the exterior and fascinated by its use as part of the university.
