The wine cask! Here’s a news item from 2010 “ The inventor of the wine cask, South Australian Riverland grape grower Thomas Angove, has died in Renmark, aged 92.
Mr Angove revolutionised wine packaging in the 1960s when he created the resealable plastic bag in a cardboard box.”
Great shot btw.
@pyrrhula@rickster549@ludwigsdiana Thank you for your comments......so waiting for the warmer weather so we can sit out on the patio with our glass of wine again !
@jamibann Ahh......funny you should ask.......they were my words exactly when we first spotted this........Mr Flynn (being half Irish) is already a Guinness fan, and last year had discovered the 'Porter' variety. This was very nice and he drank that until he could not get it in our local shops. Just before Xmas we saw this variety in Tesco and decided it was a no-brainer.....he is a very strong coffee drinker and he likes the 'dark stuff'.......I have to say that it is actually very nice.......a bit sweeter than the usual one, and can taste the coffee,,,,,,(I'm from 'the Home Counties' and Guinness was not on the menu there !).....It's all ab it 'heavy' for me though so I will stick to the wine thank you :)
