Sunflower Seeds

This sunflower is loaded with seeds. We didn’t plant it in our garden but it volunteered, possibly from from some bird seed we had earlier in the year. We decided to let it grow and now we are leaving it in the garden bed for the birds to snack on during the fall and winter months if it lasts that long.

@ludwigsdiana I measured it’s about 1 foot in diameter. So it should be good for awhile. Although the weather has been good so the birds still have lots to eat in the yard. After it snows I’m sure they’ll be snacking for sure.
