Rising Above

I opened up my covered raised garden bed today and found this plant rising above the other plants. Even though this plant is not supposed to be part of the "salad garden", I think it can stay for a while longer because of its beauty.

What a beautiful macro, Daisy. Is this perhaps a henpin - looks somewhat like the leaves and the beginning of the "flower" . Great shot.

@tonygig @milaniet @olivetreeann @archaeofrog Thanks to all of you for your great comments. I love how hen bin looks. In the Spring, I never realize that this is hen bin because I am so starved for flower blossoms. Yes, this is indeed hen bin. It is very beautiful when in full bloom. I love to see fields of blooming hen bin. However, hen bin is a terrible weed. It takes over yards and the farmer's field. Alas. I will probably end up pulling this hen bin plant out of the salad garden.
