Each May, these green things appear. Of course, they are usually brown by the time most people notice them all over the ground, their vehicles, the house roofs, ..... and everywhere. I guess yesterday's wind blew these down onto the deck a bit early. I brought them inside thinking that these might make a good close up phoot due to all of the curved lines and shapes. As I shot these things I realized that these might make an abstract. I pushed three of these things together and this is the result. If you have not guessed by now, these things are the maple tree seeds that twirl down from the trees each May. What I found on the deck was three pairs of these seeds still hooked together by curved stems. I grouped the left hand seed wing from each pair to make this shot.
I'm a little disappointed you didn't open one and put it on your nose like we did as kids. I think it would have made a great selfie lol !!
Nice detail and texture in this shot!
I was thinking of Maple seeds while I was reading the explanation. In our country this is happen in Oct. Nov. That`s what fools me .
Great abstract and capture.
@jle__ Thanks! Your comment made me laugh. I don't know though if I could make a selfie (with maple seed on my nose) look like an abstract. At least, I have a new idea for a selfie.
@pyrrhula Thanks! I am amazed by the diversity in maple trees. I found out that I have two different kinds of maples in my back yard. I thought that both trees were the same species.
Nice detail and texture in this shot!
I found oodles of the brown ones today. :)
Great abstract and capture.
