July 2: An Oldie

This house is an old, old, old house. I am not certain how old it is. I know someone who knows the owner of this house. She said that the house probably predates any of the other buildings around it (and those buildings are really old). I feel sad to see this house in its current state. I can tell that this house was a nice family house at one time. I don't think anyone currently lives in this house.
It could be made into a lovely building again with a bit of time Daisy, great find and shot.

So sorry that it is not be on a restoration or rebuild, I wonder why the house has not broken into by squatters. ( in our country they will do if a house is n`t use for more then one year )
Thank you for you nice comment and the fav. Much appreciated.

That's sort of sad. It does look like it's seen better days and the black & white really emphasizes that. Good shot!

Definitely right for b&w - do wish there was a way to encourage (financially) people to buy and restore these old places.

@tonygig Thanks! I agree that this could be restored to its former beauty. Alas. My city is on a binge of tearing down buildings. They give the owners so many days to fix up a house and then down it goes.

@deu49097 My friend told me that this used to be a tax preparation office. However, I know that this building has an older history than that.

@olivetreeann Thanks. Seeing this house like this makes me sad too.

@milaniet Thanks. Yes, I wish my city would help people financially to fix up their buildings. However, they would rather spend the money to knock them down. It is quite upsetting.
