July 14: Frosted

This is the chandelier in the foyer of yesterday's residence center. The light globes are frosted. The frosting looks a bit odd (must see these in person to see the oddness). I thought these were frosted for one Christmas season, but the globes remained frosted after Christmas was long past. Perhaps the globes are frosted to make the light not so bright??? According to the directions of the woman who donated the money for this senior residence center, the furnishings must be nice. The chandelier does look nice in the foyer, even if I don't like the frosted globes.

This is for the fifth BW fortnight challenge, in which the photos will show architectural details. I thought that I would start with the senior residential center, in which all of the architectural details and furnishings have been well thought out. (e.g. even down to the wallpaper that faintly shows in the background of this photo).
Nicely composed and captured!

@olivetreeann Thanks! I am glad the composition worked. I debated about the composition, but this is what looked right to me.

@nanm Now, I realize why the glass is frosted. Someone did this to make the newer light fixture look antique.
