My eyes were caught by the intricate stained glass surrounded by the stone archway around the window. This window is found in the old Congregational Church. This downtown church building was built in the 1880s. The building was built in the Romanesque Revival style. I took pictures of the church building earlier this month (see July 5th in my 365 album). Today, I concentrated on the architectural details.
@denisedaly@tonygig@pyrrhula Thanks. I find myself fascinated by the beauty of this building. I occasionally drive by it and I find my eyes draw to it everytime.
@daisymiller Most churches have a history of their building somewhere. I'd call and ask them. They'd probably be happy to tell you or direct you to someone who knows.
