Today, I went on my annual "before the first freeze" photo walk. I go on this walk on the day of the first freeze of the day before the first freeze. I concentrate on taking picturs of the flowers before they get killed by the freeze. A freeze warning has been issued for Friday 10p.m. until 9a.m. on Saturday. I am busy tomorrow, so I decided to go on my annual photo walk today. Each year, I select a local location that has lots of flowers. I selected to visit my favorite city park's gardens for today's photo walk. This photo is of the gazebo between the rose garden and the perennial garden.
When I arrived at the park, there were a few blue patches of sky showing through the clouds. By the time I left the park, it was beginning to rain. The weather changes very quickly in the Autumn!
Just wondering where you are because we have the same freeze warning times. In fact, went out and undid water hoses today so we wouldn't forget tomorrow! Such a lovely gazebo and those roses. Have a rose bush against the chimney that I'm hoping does ok with this first real frost.
A gorgeous shot and an interesting idea of your pre frost walk --Lovely Autumnal colours in the trees --once the rfost has come --they all will soon come down !
I remember this pretty gazebo from some of your previous shots. It's so sad to know the flowers may be gone by Sunday, but at least you'll have this nice shot to remember them by!
