I have had this Santa mug for a while. When I was in third grade, my teacher gave each of us a Santa mug in which she had poured a homemade candle. I have treasured this mug throughout the years. It is a bit worse for wear, but it is still one of my favorites in my Santa collection. Although this is the first Santa I remember receiving as a gift, this is not the Santa that started my Santa collection.
He's a fabulous Santa because he comes with great history. I love Christmas and all the decorations, am following to join in seeing yours and learn the story of your Santa collection!
He's a sweet one - with a wonderful background. As a retired teacher, I love hearing from kids about things they made in my class or things I gave them that they still have (and they're not in their 30's+). Even had a letter from one boy telling me about an art set I'd given him for Christmas (drew names and I "got" his) and how much it meant and that he was now an art teacher in an elementary school. This teacher of yours sent you a happy message, too.
I had a Santa mug like that too! Enjoyed many a cup of hot chocolate in him. I don't know what happened to him, but I no longer have him. How fun would it be to pass him on to one of my granddaughters! Oh well! It's nice to see yours is still around and spreading some cheer in your collection.
