I fell in love with this nativity set a few years ago at a church sale. It became all the more precious when I found out that the father of a church member made this set for his family. The church member's family were moving to another state and were selling items they could not move easily. I was unable to get a shot that really shows off the beauty of this Nativity set. It is prettier in "real life".
This photo marks the end of my Nativity series. I am not certain what my next series is going to be. My original idea was to take pictures of the seasonal displays in the downtown store windows. However, there is a winter advisory for tonight and tomorrow morning. The streets and sidewalks may be very slick. Since I do not want to fall, especially with my camera in hand, I may stay indoors to take pictures tomorrow.
This is so sweet -- so simple -- says it all needs to say -- and even better with its history. Thanks for the great series. Stay warm and safe and off those slick sidewalks!
@auror Thanks. Even though it did not get as slick as was predicted, I was careful when I went outside. I slid once on a sidewalk, but that was in my own yard and I did not fall. I drove out to see my mother and my car only did some minor slides at two intersections. I made it through the ice so far today!
This is a very modern take- and it's sort of sad the family didn't keep something he made! But good for you as now you have a unique one-of-a-kind sets.
