I was really surprised to see several blossoms on the azalea bush by my church building yesterday. I drove back there today with my camera in hand so I could take some shots of these blossoms. I guess the blossoms must have opened up due to the 50 degree high temperature on Sunday. I could not believe I saw these blossoms on the day winter officially began!
Such a beautiful splash of colour, especially at this time of year. When I was in the garden today photographing the robin I noticed some of the buds on the camellia look as though they are going to bloom. They don't usually bloom until spring but it has been very mild here too.
