The first leaf I photographed in the mud puddle is almost out of the ice. The day warmed up into the mid thirties with a cold wind. Since the day was gray and cloudy, there was little melting going on in the puddle. However, I have noticed that the puddle is getting more shallow and is shrinking. The gravel bottom of the puddle is showing up more and more in my photos. Unless my location gets more substantial precipitation, the puddle may be gone before the end of the month.
Looking over your thumbnails I have to agree with Katie- your series is really turning out well! It is really interesting to see how both time and weather have affected your puddle- each change adding its own beauty.
