Last Autumn, I left some of the plant stalks standing in the north flower bed. I had hopes that the birds would be able to use the plant stalks as shelter and for hiding places. The birds do tend to congregate at the base of these plant stalks. The dried flower seed heads also provide me with lots of photo opportunities. This is for the second week of the flash of red (BW) challenge. I was working on texture and a little on negative space.
A gorgeous seed head Daisy -- great textures and the light and shadows do well on the spikey seed head I love the softness of the background in contrast to the seed head . Nicely composed shot !
