Dusk can be a very special time to shoot pictures. This was shot about fifteen minutes before the sun set. I did not have the liberty in my schedule to return to this scene after the sun set. I was surprised by how quickly the sky was changing. Next time, I hope I can stay until all light disappears from the sky.
In Chapter 9 of the book, Extraordinary Everyday Photography, the authors write about how special the time of dusk and dawn can be. They talk about photographing silhouettes or turning the other direction and catching the light & color in the sky opposite of the sunset. I decided to shoot the silhouettes, because I wanted to capture the coloring of the clouds in the western sky.
