The onion bulblets are emerging from their covering. This Egyptian onion is an intersting addition to my garden. The green tendrils will eventually touch the ground. Then, the bulblets can grow into onion bulbs. The bulbs can be harvested in the late summer or Autumn. Of course, some of the bulbs will be left in the ground so the process can be repeated next year.
A weird and wonderful plant -- looks quite alien !! Great shot !
